Description: Elongated in shape, with a hammer-like head and a tail formed by two appendages.
Reproduction: They are hermaphroditic. They spawn regularly if more than one individual is present. The eggs form a curled white mass arranged in a chain and held together by a sticky substance (approximately 6x3cm2). The eggs form a capsule from which the larva emerges.
Habitat: In sandy lagoons or bays. Distribution: Indo-Pacific, Indonesia, Australia, and Fiji. Color: Black with blue stripes. Size: Up to 7 cm. Caution: Take care around pumps and overflows. Diet: Exclusively flatworms. Natural predators: It is not usually harassed. Removal method: None.
Notes: Very difficult to maintain over the long term; it usually does not live for more than three months. Water conditions must be optimal, as it does not tolerate high nitrate levels.
