Description: Elongated and spongy in shape, slightly calcareous (similar to fingers).
Reproduction: By fragmentation and/or spores.
Habitat: Shallow areas with low water flow, in groups of several individuals.
Distribution: Pacific Ocean and Atlantic Ocean. Color: Green on the upper part and white on the lower part.
Size: 3–4 cm. Caution: None.
Lighting: It requires intense lighting and is very difficult to maintain for long periods of time.
Natural predators: It is not very appealing to surgeonfish.
Notes: It consumes very few nutrients, and the colony grows very slowly (excessive growth has been documented in some aquariums, but this is rare). It is a natural indicator of calcium levels and is easier to maintain with Ca supplementation.
