Distribution: Caribbean. Color: Blue-purple. Size: Up to 20 cm in diameter. Caution: None. Lighting: High.

Natural predators: Some grazing fish and invertebrates, although it is not very palatable.

Removal method: None.

Notes: Moderate growth with a medium nutrient absorption rate. Easy to maintain. It is considered a turf alga.
